California Gold Slot at a Glance

People from all over the world dashed to California to take part in this scramble, with the hopes of a rush of gold of their own.

California Gold slot game brings back the times of the well known and historical Gold rush that took place in California a century ago.

The symbols in California Gold all relate to that period, and are designed with great attention to detail. The lower value symbols are the pick axe and the Barrel, Lantern and the Map of the Gold mine, and after that comes the dynamite and the Gold Pan. Next in value comes the Donkey laden with goods and the Mine Cart, the Gold Mine itself and an angry Thief. The two main symbols are the crazy old Gold Miner and a shiny Gold Nugget.

Lucrative Scatter Symbols

The Scatter symbol is the Gold Nugget, and this symbol will be found on reels two, three, four and five. Five of these Gold Nuggets appearing will award you one hundred gold coins. Landing three or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels will activate the free spins bonus round, and you will be awarded ten free spins. All winnings made during this round will be tripled. You can retrigger the free spins round by landing more Scatter symbols on the reels, which will give you more chances to win gold.

California Gold is a NextGen release, with five reels and twenty pay lines. To begin your search for gold you will have to set the number of pay lines you want to play, and the amount per line you want to wager. There is also an Autoplay button you can use, and there is a MaxBet button for those who want to play the maximum bet.

The Wild can Bring Great Wins

The old Miner is the Wild, and as such can substitute any other symbol in the game to help form winning combinations, except for the Scatter. When the Miner appears on reels two, three and four in California Gold, you will have the opportunity to access a special bonus round, called the Mad Miner Bonus. Once you unlock this bonus round you are taken to a new screen with four different maps of gold mines. Each map is different and leads to different amounts of gold. Choose one of these maps, and you and the crazy old Miner will climb inside the gold mine cart and begin speeding through the mine of your choice. On each side of the mine cart will be amounts of gold that the Miner will try to snatch in passing. After he successfully grabs five different amounts of gold, the ride will end, and all the gold will be added to your account which you can later use for games of bingo Australia if you choose. This bonus round can also be activated during the free spins round in California Gold as well, by the appearance of more Miners on the appropriate reels.

A Gamble Feature as Well

Like most NextGen slot games, California Gold slot offers players the option to use the available Gamble feature. After every win you can try to guess the colour of the next playing card drawn, and if your guess is correct you will have your winnings doubled. You can then attempt to guess the suit of that particular card, and if your guess is correct you will have your wins quadrupled.

This mining expedition has plenty of images of gold, and with luck there is the possibility of putting that gold into your account.
