Williams Interactive Gaming seems to have the monopoly on Monopoly themed slots. The ever popular board game has spawned a bunch of like minded slots, all by WMS gaming. Epic Monopoly 2 is a sequel to Epic Monopoly and is definitely epic when it comes to size. The game is played over not one but two sets of reels, the main 5×4 reel set and the colossal 5×12 reel set. The second set is used to produce all the various special features that the game has to offer.
With 100 paylines only being calculated at 50 bets instead of the full 100 when you are playing all the lines, it makes the game a bit more affordable if you want to play with the big boys. Coin values range from 0.1 up to 1, and you can bet up to one coin per line, making the maximum bet for all the lines 50 coins. Of course the more you bet, the more likely you are to hit on any of the special features and make use of the colossal reels.
Familiar Faces
All the symbols in Epic Monopoly 2 will be familiar to anyone who has played either the actual board game or the original slot. The bottom paying symbols are the pieces from the game, and include a boot, a boat, a car and a hat which will give you 50 coins for five of them in a row on the main reels. The more lucrative symbols include Mr Monopoly himself, his white dog, a pot full of money, male and female characters and a wheelbarrow. These can all payout between 500 and 5000 coins for five of them in a row.
Classy Graphics
Monopoly has always been about accruing as much wealth as you can, preferably from other players. Epic Monopoly 2 depicts this classiness in its layout and graphics. The game has a lot of solid colours such as chocolate brown which is set off with gold edges. It’s a reserved looking game in the same way that an expensive Italian car is reserved. The reels are a pale green with simply designed but sharp looking symbols. All graphics are done in the same style as the board game itself, which is to say they are cartoon style but with good crisp edges and decent detail.
Epic Wheel and Epic Wild
The wild symbol can be found on reels one, three and five on both sets of reels. This is an image of the monopoly board and will replace all other symbols in the game except for the bonus icon. Mr Monopoly and his dog are also wilds that can appear stacked.
Three or more bonus symbols on reels one three and five of either set of reels will grant you a go at the Epic Wheel feature and a multiplier dependant on how many icons you found. To spin the Epic Wheel you simply touch it, and it will land on one of a number of prizes which are all mini games.
